I pray that all people in recent months have continued to visit my blog, forgive me if I have not written anything and if I did not give me more news!
many things have happened in all these months ...... certainly the most important thing is that I'm still working at the hospital center of Osimo (Ancona), and that we finally managed to reach the international recognition promoted by UNICEF and WHO of "Baby Friendly Hospital"!
Ours is the first hospital in the eleventh and Marche in Italy!
It was not easy to achieve this goal, to become Baby Friendly Hospital we have applied to ten specific rules in favor of breastfeeding, which include inter alia not to accept free samples of breast milk substitutes, do not use bottles and teats, training all staff, make the rooming in (newborn and mother in the same room together 24 hours on 24, so no nest) and correct information for mothers to breastfeed exclusively.
The accurate assessment of our work was carried out by a UNICEF team of experts from Italy and the positive final assessment has left us all of the staff of stucco! What a beautiful
satisfaction!
